Foxtails are here again! Symptoms of foxtails include swollen
toes or feet, cystic structures between the toes, fits or sneezing
with possible bloody nose, shaking the head, head tilt, and
persistent pawing of the nose or ear. If you should suspect
these signs, contact us for an appointment.
With the warm weather upon us, please be sure that your
pets have adequate access to fresh water. Keeping hydrated
is extremely important.
Be sure your vaccines are up to date. Especially if you
are planning on boarding your small animal companion, most
kennels require a minimum of 7-10 days between your boarding
date and when the updated vaccines are given. Many puppy classes
have similar requirements. Be sure you check your kennel and
class vaccine requirements.
With puppy and kitten season in full swing, many people
find this the best time to add another member to their furry
family. Be sure you do a little research prior to picking
out your new pet. Not only is it important to pre-prepare for
his arrival, but many breeds have special requirements you
may not be aware of. The American Kennel Club website, local
humane societies and SPCA’s, and rescue organizations
are wonderful sources of information.
